1,Arrive Columbo
Upon arrival at Colombo Airport, you will be met and transferred to Sigiriya, where you will stay for 2 nights at Water Gardens Sigiriya. Located only 6km from Sigiriya Rock and set within a serene paddy field surrounded by lakes and water streams, the resort is an idyllic blend of luxury and nature.
2,In Sigiriya
Visit the spectacular Sigiriya Rock fortress where you can enjoy a challenging climb to the top and take in the amazing views. Tour the ancient city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a rich collection of archaeological and architectural wonders, or witness the ruined capital of Polonnaruwa, where Buddha statues are carved from sheer rock.
3,Sigiriya to Kandy
Today you will be collected from the hotel and driven to Deltota near Kandy. Along the way you can visit Dambulla Rock Temple, followed by a stop at Matale to explore a local spice market. Arrive at Taylors Hill where you will stay for 2 nights. Taking its name from James Taylor, who is believed to have introduced tea production into Ceylon, this century-old mansion is a modern, luxurious retreat.
4,In Kandy
Spend the day with a dip in the pool, a game of croquet on the lawn or explore the unspoilt countryside. Visit Loolecondera Tea Estate, take a tour of Kandy and the Temple of the Tooth Relic or catch a panoramic view of the town from Upper Lake Drive.
5 to 6,Kandy to Yala
You will be transferred to Yala for a 2 night stay at Chena Huts, a luxurious safari lodge flanked by jungle on one side and ocean waters on the other. Make the most of the fabulous location close to Yala National Park and head out at dawn or in the afternoon on a jeep safari, where you may be fortunate enough to see leopards, sloth bears and elephants.
7,Yala to Colombo
After a leisurely breakfast you will be transferred to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s largest city, where you will stay for 1 night at Galle Face Hotel. Make the most of your time here, soaking up the atmosphere at the stylish tea lounges, bars and restaurants or perhaps take a night walking tour of the old city.
8,Colombo to Maldives
Transfer to Colombo Airport for your flight to Malé. On arrival you will be met and transferred by speedboat to Baros Maldives for a 5 night stay.
9-12,In Maldives
Discover authentic Maldivian luxury at Baros, providing a world of comfort and style in a tropical ocean setting. Go snorkelling, diving or fishing, take a sunset cruise, visit a remote island and sip a cocktail on a private sandbank or simply unwind in the resort’s spa.
